Friendship On The Top Of Semeru
(Based on my story)
Three years ago, me and my friends there are Dewi, Ferdi, and Alfi decided to go to the top of Mount Semeru to celebrate our graduation from school. The time needed to reach the peak is 10 - 13 hours, some even take 2 days and 1 night. The first day we were at the Ranu Pane post to double check the requirements to make sure whether they were complete or not. Before climbing, Ferdi provided information about the rules that must be followed, such as don't litter, maintain cleanliness, and don't say bad things. Then Ferdi started leading prayers. "Before climbing, so that we can be given a smooth ride, let's pray according to our respective religions and beliefs. The prayer begins," Everyone was solemn in saying prayers to be given safety and after finishing we walked together.
Step by step we walked along post after post when at post 4 Ferdi gave us the order to rest for a while before continuing to Ranu Kumbolo. The time needed to get to Ranh Kumbolo is 30 minutes. "We rest here," said Ferdi. "Finally rested," said Alfi with a sigh of relief. "Is Ferdi still a long way to Ranu Kumbolo? "I asked Ferdi. "Not bad," he said. We all sat back and relaxed and occasionally drank the water supplies we had brought. "Come on, let's continue," said Dewi. "Just a moment, Dew," said Alfi in an annoyed tone. "Yes, in a moment," I said. Dewi sat down again and if you look at her expression she seems annoyed. It didn't take long after resting for 15 minutes, we continued climbing on Ferdi's instructions, he also happened to be someone who was experienced in mountain climbing.
And after a few minutes of walking, I finally arrived at Ranu Kumbolo. To be honest, I was amazed and enchanted by the beauty of this place, even though the hot sun burned my skin, it didn't reduce the charm of Ranu Kumbolo. "Ferdi, let's rest here, right?" said Dewi. "Yes, rest," he said. "Finally," said I, Alfi, and Dewi. A smile suddenly appeared on my face. I felt amazed by the creation of the Almighty with all its beauty. We didn't forget to ignore the moment when we were here, but unfortunately our journey had to continue because our plan was to arrive at the last post. approaching evening. "Let's go again," With a heavy heart I left this place but I also couldn't wait to reach the top of Mount Semeru. We walked and passed a steep hill called "Tanjakan Cinta".
During the journey, we were all quiet and focused on walking. The only thing I heard was the sound of gusts of wind. After walking for a long time, we arrived at the Cemoro pen post and rested for a while and before we knew it, it was already afternoon. We are prepared to use the necessary equipment such as installing headband flashlights, wearing thick jackets, and other necessities. After finishing we walked again towards the last post, namely Kali Mati. I think the journey feels very long to this last post. "Ferdi, is it still long?" said Dewi. “Not bad,” he said. "It's not bad how we've been walking for a few minutes," said Alfi. "Yes, if you want to rest, but only for 15 minutes," We gave a thumbs up as a sign of agreement. 15 minutes passed and continued to the Kalimati post. "Come on, we'll be there in a minute," said Ferdi encouraging us. And finally arrived at Kalimati "Yes, finally," said Dewi while relaxing her body. "My feet hurt, you know," said Alfi and I in an annoyed tone. Ferdi, who saw us, could only shake his head and wait for the three of us to rest.
When he had enough, Ferdi gave the order to continue his journey to Kelik. The journey required was very long, taking 4-6 hours to reach the top, but we were all still excited to reach the top for the reason of celebrating our graduation. We continued with confidence and when we arrived at the rough sand track we had to be prepared because when we stepped on it would feel like we were slumping. "Oh, why isn't this happening," said Dewi. "PATIENCE, WE CAN DEFINITELY CAN," said Ferdi in a loud voice. "I'm tired," said Alfi with a red face that looked like he was going to cry "Come on Alfi, we can do it," I said slowly and tried to convince Alfi and finally he nodded in agreement. In the dark of night we continued walking towards the top and when we were in the middle of the journey we draining his energy, a reddish yellow light appeared in the east. "Guys, look at that!" said Dewi while pointing her hand to the east.
Immediately we turned to the east and were amazed at what we saw. The Sun is Rising," said Alfi "Come on, get excited, we'll be there soon," We walked again with burning enthusiasm. And finally reached the top. We all burst into tears, Alfi and I hugged Dewi, who I had seen all this time was always strong, now she was sobbing uncontrollably. "We succeeded," said Ferdi. "Yes," I said hoarsely. "Oh yes, I brought a red and white flag," said Ferdi and raised the red and white flag with a wooden stick. Seeing the Red and White Saka flying at the highest peak gave goosebumps and we sang the song Indonesia Raya. Mount Semeru taught us the importance of a business that must be enjoyed and accompanied by patience. Every step taken will not be a waste of a sweet letter from Mount Semeru that will always be remembered.
